In simple terms, cost rental housing is designed to provide affordable accommodation for those who are above the threshold to quality for social housing, but have difficulty affording private rented homes.
It's called ‘cost rental’ because the rent paid is based on the cost of building, managing and maintaining the homes.
It does not include any profit for a developer. This makes the rent cheaper than standard rents. The rent for cost rental homes must be at least 25% below regular market rents in an area.
PMI has been appointed as both block and letting mangers by the LDA and it's the first LDA development in Limerick.
This location is easily accessible to Limerick city centre, University of Limerick, Plassey Technology Park, Castletroy Town Centre, the M18 Motorway and a number of other local amenities including primary and secondary schools.
