Major concert hinted for Gaelic Grounds as Limerick GAA release teaser

A MAJOR concert is hinted to take place at Limerick GAA’s TUS Gaelic Grounds with an announcement being made on Thursday morning.

Limerick GAA’s X account, alongside four other venues, released simultaneous and similar teasers on their social media.

The videos showed what appears to be music gear being wheeled into each venue with a sticker on the side that says ‘special delivery’.

There is no more information in the short video apart from a date stamp of November 5 2026 and a time slot of 8am.

What has added fuel to the concert fire is the fact that major music promoter Aiken Promotions has shared and liked the teasers being posted which suggests that there may be a raft of gigs being held at GAA venues next summer.

Other venues involved are: SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork; Nowlan Park in Kilkenny; Galway’s Pearse Stadium and Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

The Ennis Road venue has hosted big concerts in the past few years including acts such as UB40 and The Wolfe Tones in recent years.

However, rumours are abound that the act set to play at the venue is of one of the biggest musical acts in the world.

Names like U2 and Garth Brooks have been mentioned in local and national circles as the build up to Thursday’s announcement at 8am builds up.

Limerick GAA were contacted for comment on the speculation but were remaining tightlipped on who the artist that is set to play at the Gaelic Grounds is.

With such mystery surrounding the posts one can expect that the information will have been contained within a small number of individuals in each county.

The concert is set to take place in what is a massive year for the city and county with the 2027 Ryder Cup taking place at JP McManus’ Adare Manor.
